Senior AI Software Developer

Full-time / LATAM based – Remote

About The Client

Our client is an established US-based healthcare technology company that builds governance software for complex, regulated environments. They are actively modernizing their multi-product portfolio and moving toward reusable platform capabilities and an AI-first software development lifecycle.

About the Role

As the first engineering member of a brand-new, high-impact team, you will operate as a "single-person squad" initially, functioning as a senior developer, solution architect, and future technical lead. This team favors focused execution over ceremony: you will work directly with Product on goal-level PRDs (no heavy Jira ticket decomposition) and focus on one priority initiative at a time. U.S. working hours overlap is required.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong current production experience with .NET, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Real-world
  • AI application: Regular professional use of AI coding tools across multiple SDLC phases, with a proven ability to validate, correct, or reject AI-generated code.
  • Strong architecture experience involving APIs, domain boundaries, integrations, and incremental modernization.
  • Startup mindset: High ownership, pragmatism, and the ability to take a goal-level initiative from discovery to production.
  • Availability to work overlapping U.S. business hours.
Bonus Points
  • Experience building SaaS products, enterprise workflow platforms, or healthcare technology.
  • Familiarity with regulated industries, compliance systems, or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).
  • Strong background in cloud platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, and responsible AI practices (data protection, source validation).
  • Previous experience hiring or managing software engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead First Initiatives: Your immediate projects will include a brownfield accessibility remediation (ADA / WCAG standards) across existing UI, and a greenfield project to extract a capability from an existing monolith into a reusable API-first platform service.
  • Work Across the Portfolio: Develop primarily in .NET, JavaScript, and TypeScript, while being comfortable crossing into legacy PHP or Salesforce-originated systems when necessary.
  • Drive Agentic Workflows: Use tools like Claude for planning, implementation, and testing, alongside AI code-review platforms like Greptile or CodeRabbit.
  • Measure & Optimize: Establish and track AI-first engineering metrics, such as delivery lead time, token usage, AI-assisted versus human-authored changes, and cost per initiative.
  • Champion Pragmatism: Balance high-speed delivery with strict healthcare data residency, source-code privacy, and security controls.

What We Offer

  • Compensation: $100,000 USD annually.
  • PTO Policy
